Mount Taranaki
Mount Taranaki is located on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island. It's 2518m above sea-level and quite a risky hike. Despite the steep ascents and the treacherous terrain - mainly scoria and scree, it's absolutely worth climbing and the sunrise views are breathtaking.
Since hiking to the summit, I've also made it to Pouakai Hut and taken some pics of the mighty mountain reflecting in the tarn. Click here to view.
