Easter Island

Easter Island - locally known as Rapa Nui - is the world's most remote island located off the coast of Chile. Famous for its Moai statues, this little piece of paradise is a must-see for any budding historian. With beautiful views stretching out into the ocean, wandering livestock and ancient mysterious carvings, there is something to satisfy every interest. 

I had a marvellous week driving around, chatting with locals, visiting different sights and even getting off the beaten path at times. It really is a magical place in the middle of nowhere.
