Castlepoint

Castlepoint may not look like much at first glance on a map of New Zealand's north island. However, make the effort to arrive just in time for sunrise and you'll surely be blown away by what greets you. A beautiful sun-kissed lighthouse that's reached by a boardwalk, rocks and cliffs and nothing but unspoilt views in every direction. After the spectacular early-morning show, head back to the carpark and complete the Deliverance Cove Track for more views over the bay and out into the endless ocean. You might even get lucky and spot some dolphins or whales.
