The Amazon Rainforest

The Amazon Rainforest is one of the most fascinating places on this planet.​

I had a tricky situation involving a plastic bag which I don't think I'll ever be able to live down. My trip involved me and three French couples. I was told to bring minimal luggage due to travelling by canoe to get to our lodge. I ended up taking a ridiculously small bag and a carrier bag. At the last minute I condensed everything into the carrier bag an, as you can imagine, the bag ended up catching on various tree branches and bushes, thus spilling everything and resulting in total embarrassment and lots of whispering from the French couples. Eventually, the guide hacked at some leaves and twigs and wove me a backpack. It was pretty impressive. Aside from that, it was a great trip.
